Deanery Parish Council and Parish Communication
Deanery Pastoral Council
Parishes don’t operate in isolation. Our local parishes form a pastoral area which in turn is part of the Deanery of SS Mungo & Ninian. Representatives of the parishes come together along with the priests of the local pastoral area (Bonnybridge, Camelon, Falkirk, Larbert and Polmont) to promote the work of the Church within the Deanery. Representatives from the Deanery serve on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council working for the good of the whole Archdiocese. So, there is a link from Parish to Archdiocese. Brendan McGuckin of our parish serves on the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council. You can find out more by contacting Brendan.
Parish Communication
The essential way of finding out what is going on in the parish is the Weekly newsletter distributed at each Sunday Mass. There are at least two open meetings in the parish each year and everyone is clearly welcome to come along to these and have their say. The open meetings provide a forum for annual reports from various parish groups and wider discussion of issues of interest to the parish.
Information about the Archdiocese is available on the Archdiocesan website www.archdiocese-edinburgh.com in the annual Catholic Directory for the Archdiocese and in occasional letters from the Archbishop.
